what happends if you use 1.2 ??(reccommended)

what OS are you using ? PHP version ??

some hardened-php support was removed due to compatibility problem between h-php versions, and there's suhosin.

can u pls reverse apply the patch http://trac.lighttpd.net/xcache/attachment/wiki/Release-1.0/hardening-0.4.11.patch and see if it works for u?

If you want hardened installation, use suhosin patch and suhosin extension NOT hardened PHP ( which has been obsoleted)
